Tips to get your star map right

• Use the city where you were, not where you live now. If it happened on a trip, it's the city of the trip.
• Add the time if you know it — even roughly (“around 10 p.m.”). Without a time, the sky is calculated for the evening of that day.
• Don't worry about clouds — the map shows the stars that were above the horizon, even if the sky was overcast or the city too bright to see them.
